Teds Zoom with the Area Deans

Whilst many people I imagine think the clergy must be on holiday as the churches are closed and that no pastoral visiting can be done that is not the case. Where there is a will, and interesting technology, there will be a way.

The Teds joined me this morning, much to the amusement of the rest of the participants, when we had a virtual Area Deans meeting using Zoom. It was good to ‘see’ everyone and to hear of all the exciting new ways of doing church that are emerging all over the Diocese.

Teds working lunch

As an Area Dean (sort of an area manager type job) I gather with some of the other Area Deans and the Archdeacon (my line manager in effect) every few months for a catchup with local issues. Today we met in the White Horse in Coychurch ( I can recommend the American Burger) and had a working lunch.

Again lots of fun and laughter along with serious conversation about how things have been and what to do about things in the future. I must say the Teds were not at all hungry so a cheap date.
