Lots of Teds and people at the Gymanfa Ganu

A tremendous time was had by all who turned up at All Saints Penyfai for the Deanery Gymanfa Ganu. We sang loads of hymns about pilgrimage and learned a lot about the origins and history of the hymns that we would otherwise have been oblivious to. We also learned about putting the Pilgrim artifacts closer to the microphone to aid transition from one Area Dean to another!

We finished off with tea and warm welsh-cakes and the obligatory Teds photo. Hopefully by December we’ll have a full complement of Teds from all over the Deanery.

Teds Team Gathering

Altogether now, “If you go down to the woods today you’re in for a big surprise…..”

Well to be more precise if you were at St Tyfodwg’s Church, Glyn Ogwr on the night of the 2nd February you would have seen the first gathering of the Bridgend Deanery Bears (so far – some still in the post) as we all came together for an evening service to welcome the Pilgrimage Symbols into the Deanery for the first time of three. https://parish.churchinwales.org.uk/l355/churches-en/st-tyfodwgs-church-glyn-ogwr_-en/

To celebrate the Pilgrimage Symbols further we’ll be having a Gymanfa Ganu (good old sing song) on the 23rd of February at All Saints Church Penyfai. https://parish.churchinwales.org.uk/l545/churches-en/all-saints-church-penyfai/

See you there?
