Teds at the Clergy Support group

It’s good to talk. It is really really good to talk. And so a handful of us gather together every few months to do just that under the wise guidance and care of retired Canon John Parkin and his wife Angie (The freeloader in the picture is the Area Dean of Margam who said she would cry if not allowed in the photo).

In one sense there is change all the time in church and in other ways there is nothing new really. So it’s good to chew the fat, so to speak, with other colleagues and retired colleagues who have been through all phases of life before you. There is nothing that does not seem better after a cup of coffee and a chat and a pray.

Teds go to 2pray

This afternoon Teds’ joined the 2pray group. Every few weeks we gather together and have a cup of tea and a chat about whatever comes to mind. It is completely unstructured. Some people chat. Some people listen. Some people chat and listen.

Then after about an hour we have a little pray. Again some people pray out loud. Some people pray quietly. Some come and just enjoy the ambience. It’s amazing to share stories of what God is up to and share the answers to prayers prayed.

Teds’ were in a reflective mood this afternoon so did not say anything of note really. But then they did have a busy day at the 2020 launch service yesterday.

Keep an eye on the church diary for the next 2pray session : http://www.lphparish.org.uk/_whats_on.html
