A day at play

Making a mess

It wasn’t all work and no play for Tedi Su and Sandy Lou today.  They did go with Rev Suz to the mid-week Eucharist and were very entertained at Stan Starling and his friend who joined the congregation at worship.  But after the very tiring week they’d had, the tired teds decided Rev Suz would have to do without them at the burial of ashes this afternoon.  Neither could they be persuaded to join her at the hospital which meant some disappointed, poorly parishioners.  Instead the two bears spent the afternoon at play.

Teds meet Tim the builder

One of the brilliant quirks of being a vicar is that you generally always live in the area that you work in. So I live and work as the vicar of Pencoed but the house I live in is the house for whoever is the vicar of Pencoed at the time. Tim and Deborah (who ran a mile when I got the camera out) work in the Diocesan Office Parsonage Department and they look after the all church houses like mine to make sure they are kept to standard.

I took the Teds along to meet Tim and Debs and to have a chat about about a few of the ongoing jobs with the house.
